One of the really nice
aspects of Cetacean Cruises is working out of our home
in Orange Beach. We (Capt. Bill & Sheryl) have a parking
lot on the waters edge with a cute little Tiki Hut where
we register people for the cruises and a waiting area
that extends out and over the water. It is a beautiful place
to relax and many times people see dolphins in the bay
before we ever get on the boat.

If you want to get your
picture taken hugging a dolphin we have a beautiful
statue of a mother dolphin and her calf next to the Tiki
Hut. This is a life size statue that is very accurate in
every detail. If you look closely at the baby dolphin
you will see dark stripes on his back. These are fetal
folds (wrinkles) and typically remain on the baby for
5-6 weeks after birth. The mother is about 7 feet long,
as are those in our bay and has pink on her belly. It is
really a beautiful life like piece of art that we had to
work with the right artist to accomplish. We hope you
enjoy the heart of this place.
It is not a marina with
people everywhere three blocks away from your car. It is
our home and we want you to enjoy it.
It is conveniently located 2 miles from the beach
and one block north of the intersection of Hwy. 180 and
161 on beautiful Wolf Bay. Anywhere in Orange Beach is
less than a 10 minute drive and Gulf Shores less than 30
minutes. |
